All distances in this read are expressed as a percentage of the current price of Ethereum (2,505.54 at the 2026-08-25 snapshot).
What changed since last week's read
Last week's Ethereum read was a story about a broken convergence: the 3D and weekly scans had each re-resolved to different resistance levels around 1,962–1,981 after briefly naming the same one. Every level in that discussion is gone. Price is 32.62% higher than at the previous snapshot (1,889.21 to 2,505.54), and the 3D ledger no longer lists 1,962.13 (2 touches), 2,199.00 or 2,424.89 (3 touches) at all, while the weekly has dropped 1,981.24, 2,425.47, 2,728.60 and 2,849.61. Four resistances left one ledger and four left the other in a single week.
The labels moved with them. The weekly trend flipped down to up, weekly momentum bearish to bullish, and 3D momentum neutral to overbought as the 3D RSI travelled from 49.65 to 74.27. Trend strength on the 3D and weekly both went weak to strong; the 3D efficiency ratio rose from 0.1459 to 0.8195, a 461.7% change. The monthly did the opposite: still down, strength eased strong to moderate, and its efficiency ratio fell from 0.6161 to 0.3537. The alignment label reads conflicting for a third week, but its composition inverted — 3D up, weekly down, monthly down has become 3D up, weekly up, monthly down.
The read now
- 3D — trend up, strength strong, RSI 74.27, efficiency ratio 0.8195. The SMA20 at 1,937.49 stands 22.67% below price and the EMA20 at 1,980.61 stands 20.95% below.
- Weekly — trend up, strength strong, RSI 60.16, efficiency ratio 0.6256. SMA20 2,015.99 (19.54% below price), EMA20 2,055.99 (17.94% below).
- Monthly — trend down, strength moderate, RSI 49.35 and momentum neutral. The monthly averages are still above price but barely: SMA20 2,647.05 stands 5.65% above and EMA20 2,584.14 stands 3.14% above. That EMA is the closest any 20-period average sits to its own asset's price anywhere in this week's nine cells; on the monthly frame Ethereum is nearer to reclaiming its average than either Bitcoin or Solana.
Levels and zones
The 3D scan now describes a wide, thinly-populated structure: nearest support 2,220.36 at 1 touch (11.38% below price), nearest resistance 3,425.165 at 2 touches (36.70% above). That band spans 48.09% of price, or 9.27 times one 3D ATR (129.92) — a very large distance in the timeframe's own units of range. Below it the 3D lists 1,938.82, then 1,789.95 with 3 touches (28.56% below price), then 1,508.84.
The weekly ledger is denser and closer. Nearest support 2,357.59 (5.90% below price), nearest resistance 2,809.27 with 3 touches (12.12% above), and beneath price a newly-listed 2,124.6125 shelf carrying 4 touches (15.20% below). Above 2,809.27 the weekly names 3,425.165, 3,562.82, 3,744.83 and 3,977.00.
The monthly ledger remains the most distinctive object in the Ethereum snapshot: its support list has exactly one member, 1,548.0775 at 8 touches, 38.21% below price. That is both the most-tested level and the only single-entry support ledger among all nine cells this week — beneath price on the monthly frame, the pivot scan finds one shelf and nothing else. Above, the monthly's 2,066.88 (3 touches) has departed the list, leaving 3,580.34 at 42.90% above price as the nearest monthly resistance.
Order blocks reset across every frame. The 3D bear zone at 2,009.30–2,149.95, which had aged 29 bars, is no longer in the snapshot, and the monthly bear zone at 2,017.04–2,464.91 is gone as well. Two fresh bullish zones, both 4 bars old, now sit below price: 1,863.67–1,925.00 on the 3D (25.62% to 23.17% below) and 1,822.06–1,981.24 on the weekly (27.28% to 20.93% below). Such zones mark where earlier trading concentrated, and are conventionally treated as areas of interest rather than as destinations.
The nine-cell board
Running the same three timeframes across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana produced an unusually uniform picture this week, and Ethereum sits at one edge of it.
- All three 3D cells are in the overbought band simultaneously: Ethereum 74.27, Solana 73.60, Bitcoin 72.41. Ethereum's is the highest RSI reading of the nine.
- All three weekly trends flipped from down to up in the same week, and six of the nine cells moved from weak to strong trend strength.
- The efficiency ratio rose in all six faster cells and fell in all three monthly cells — a clean sign split by timeframe with no exceptions. The highest single reading is Solana's 3D at 0.8357, with Ethereum's 0.8195 next; Ethereum's weekly 0.6256 is the highest of the three weekly readings.
- All three assets carry the identical alignment triple — 3D up, weekly up, monthly down, each labelled
conflicting. All three have readconflictingfor the past two weeks; the directions behind the label have changed. - Expressed as multiples of their own timeframe's ATR, the support-to-resistance bands range from Bitcoin's weekly at 0.37 — the tightest — to Solana's 3D at 12.17, the widest. Ethereum's 3D at 9.27 sits toward the wide end.
Three assets showing the same directional arrangement across three timeframes is a description of the current board, not a claim about what any of them does next.
