The read: rotation, held
The week-ahead regime read stays rotation. Bitcoin's near-term tape has softened — the modeled lean sits close to a coin-flip and its mention share slipped over the window — while large-cap alternatives keep firm upward momentum and broadly constructive coverage. That mix points to capital working down the cap curve rather than a broad, Bitcoin-led advance.
Where the model leans
The active book is unchanged and already current, so today added no new calls — a deliberate steady outcome rather than manufactured volume:
- Upside leans (7-day): Solana, Avalanche, Ethereum and XRP all sit above their base rates on firm momentum and constructive cross-source coverage, strongest on Solana.
- Bitcoin: reads as a near coin-flip — no strong directional edge — consistent with the rotation picture.
- Longer-horizon structural reads: a fresh Bitcoin record inside six months still reads as a minority outcome, though less remote than the deep-drawdown base rate implies; a broad six-week altseason still looks unlikely; at least one major suffering a 20%-plus drawdown over six months stays historically near-certain; and Solana, Ethereum and XRP each lean toward outpacing Bitcoin over the coming quarter.
Receipts
Misses are reported next to hits — that is the point of the record.
- Hit: Solana's seven-day upside lean landed, gaining roughly 13% over its window.
- Misses: two downside leans issued in late June — on Ethereum and XRP — were run over by the early-July rally and are logged as incorrect. Both were defensive reads that the tape simply overwhelmed.
Calibration
Across the last 30 days, our edge calls hit about 43%, landing roughly 6 points above the base rate those same calls faced — a modest but positive skill signal. Calibration error remains elevated (machine ECE about 0.15) and the read is noisy at only four-to-five calls per probability bucket, so the number should be read as provisional, not settled. The takeaway is discipline, not confidence: the model is still leaning a touch rich on mid-probability calls.
On the clock
The first-ever experimental three-day resolutions land tomorrow. Those are reported separately and are excluded from the public accuracy record until the shorter horizon demonstrates its own skill.
