Rotation holds as alts lead a firming tape; first three-day experimental calls land 1-of-3

Jul 6, 2026 · crypto_market

Capital keeps rotating down the cap curve: Bitcoin's tape is flat-to-soft while Solana, Ethereum, Avalanche and XRP carry firm momentum and constructive coverage. The regime read stays rotation, a lower-cap DeFi name joins the weekly leans, and the first-ever three-day experimental calls resolved one-for-three.

The read: rotation, held

Bitcoin's near-term tape is flat-to-soft — coverage this period is neutral even as mentions climbed — while the large-cap alternatives keep the bid: Solana screens strongly bullish, Ethereum and Avalanche bullish, and breadth across the majors leans higher. That is the signature of capital rotating down the cap curve rather than a broad Bitcoin-led advance, so the week-ahead regime read stays rotation (unchanged since 07-03).

Weekly leans

The engine's conviction gate keeps four familiar names on the upside — Solana, Avalanche, Ethereum and XRP — all held from prior runs within their update band. A fifth, lower-cap name joins this run: Curve DAO, which cleared the multi-source gate on modestly bullish week-old coverage plus firm momentum. Its coverage is thin and a few days old and it is a smaller-cap name, so it carries low conviction and a provisional read.

Receipts — hits shown with misses

On our claim-eligible seven-day book, the model's edge calls are beating their own base rates by roughly six points (skill-over-base-rate of about +0.06 across 14 resolved edge calls). That is a modest, provisional edge in an early, uncalibrated phase — the hit rate on those calls is about 43%, and the model still reads mildly over-confident, so we lead with the reasoning rather than the number.

This run also brought the first-ever three-day experimental resolutions. These short-horizon calls are visible but excluded from the public accuracy record while we test whether the model shows skill at a three-day range:

One-for-three on the debut batch, with both misses landing just inside a flat tape rather than reversing — a useful early data point, nothing more. A fresh three-day batch (Solana, Ethereum, Curve DAO) goes up this run to keep the experiment running.

Structural backdrop

The longer-horizon reads are unchanged: a broad six-week altseason still looks unlikely, at least one major suffering a 20%-plus drawdown over six months stays near-certain as a historical matter, and a fresh Bitcoin record inside six months reads around one-in-three — well above its roughly 7% historical frequency from a drawdown this deep, but still a minority outcome. Solana, Ethereum and XRP each retain a better-than-even lean to outpace Bitcoin over the coming quarter.

All figures are model-derived and provisional. Descriptive only — not advice.
